Lauren met John while she was serving a church mission in Alabama and he was immediately was attracted to her while she was preaching the gospel.

They exchanged contact information with each other and hoping one day they would eventually reconnect again in the future. John went away for officer training school for the U.S. Marine Corps and as she continued to serve her church mission.

After serving her church mission, Lauren had messaged John to reconnect and they fell in love.

John secretly planned a Disney themed proposal inspired by the movie "Up".

He secretly flew all the way from Alabama to Utah to surprise her. Lauren's family was in on it as well and planned a "family photo session" but it turned out to be a beautiful unforgettable proposal. 

She said Yes!!!
